For an OS which is three releases behind the times, this shouldn\u2019t be big news, but XP has proved remarkably tenacious.\n<\/p><p>\nHowever, when Microsoft stops supporting an OS, the company doesn\u2019t only withdraw its technical support services \u2013 it also stops updating the software. Among other things, this means no more monthly patches to protect users against new viruses and malware.
