Not just checking cracks, dirt and blood but also shell strength, haugh units and yolk color. Increasingly, egg producers, egg graders and egg processors are using sophisticated laboratory equipment to measure a wide variety of quality elements. To archive this quality data and easily connect it to traceability information, Ovotrack has developed the Egg Quality module.\n<\/p><p>\nStefaan Verhelle from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.munckenei.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Munckenei<\/a>, the very first Egg Quality user, is happy with its contribution: \u201cIt\u2019s very easy to use and yet another step towards automating my egg grading center\u201d. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffsaag.ch\/de-willkommen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">f&amp;f<\/a> in Switzerland is another early adopter of the Egg Quality module. \u201cEgg quality information is very important to us,\u201d says Mario Hodel, CEO of f&amp;f: \u201cWe inform supplying farms about the results every week and actively monitor trends. The<a href=\"https:\/\/ovotrack.com\/modules\/egg-quality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Ovotrack Egg Quality<\/a> module is really helping us do away with manual data entry. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/ovotrack.com\/modules\/database\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ovotrack database<\/a>, the sample barcode is connected to the original pallet data, such as supplier, shed, egg type and date of lay. At the laboratory, <a href=\"https:\/\/ovotrack.com\/modules\/egg-quality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ovotrack Egg Quality<\/a> software is installed on a PC connected to the egg testing equipment. Scanning the barcode shows supplier, shed, egg type and date of lay. After testing, results are collected and stored in the Ovotrack database.
